The neck has a slight forward bow, the truss rod has not been adjusted since I bought it, the frets are over 60% remaining, and it's in good playing condition. The sound has not been checked, but there are 4 additional switches. I have performed a simple maintenance, replacing the strings with new ones and applying Howard's orange oil to the fingerboard. Accessories include a leather soft case. This is a used item, so it is sold as is. The "YAMAHA SF-500" is a solid-body guitar that was only manufactured and sold for a short period from 1978 to 1980. While it looks similar to an SG, it has a body thickness and weight almost identical to a Les Paul, with a slightly wider and shallower double cutaway plus 24 frets. Interestingly, the design of this SF has been carried over to the Revstar series currently on sale. The SF series consists of the SF1000 at the top, followed by the SF700, and then this SF500. This SF500 is the only one that uses different body and neck materials than the top two models. The SF1000 has an alder + maple body and a maple + ebony fingerboard neck, while the SF700 is the same as the SF1000 except for the rosewood fingerboard. The SF500 has a town + mahogany body and a mahogany + rosewood fingerboard neck.
