The Patch: This Auction is for 1 WWII Vintage Austria Occupation shoulder patch with a white back. This patch is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. The History: The Eastern Defense Command was activated on march 18th, 1942 with its headquarters in New York City . The mission of the command was to protect the Eastern Coast of the United States against invasion. Its commander was to take over the defense of the coast if an actual invasion occurred until he was relieved by other forces. By the time of its inactivation in March of 1946, the Eastern Defense Command controlled all but the most western of the states in the Continental United States. Please read my auction requirements.
