Chrome plated weighted inkwell for quill or calligraphy. Lidded with hinge. Unbranded. Preowned. Made in China. It’s form and styling closely follow weighted inkwells struck in sterling silver from the 1940’s. The closest replica was made in India with no further attribution offered. This is very likely a nickel alloy metal chrome plated since it is not magnetic. Notwithstanding, this is a very nice inkwell in excellent condition. A rare find. No damages to report. Blue velveteen cloth covered base. Original packaging not available. Measures 3 3/4”Tall X 2 3/4”Diameter at Lid X 2 1/4” Diameter Base. Inkwell depth is less than 3/4”. Weighs 9.1 ounces.
