Description

Civil War Union Eagle Breast Plate Ezra Church Fulton County Ga. Atlanta Battle Civil War Union Eagle Breast Plate Ezra Church Fulton County Ga. Atlanta Battle Civil war items have been in storage since the 1980's. The breast plate was recovered at Ezra Church, Fulton County Ga. This was part of the Battle for Atlanta. My wife's grandfather dug a lot around the Atlanta area including Allatoona Pass, New Hope Church, Pickett's Mill and Resaca. Condition is good for it's age. This battle was fought in February and July 28 of 1864, so the breast plate was in the ground for about a 100 years before my wife's grandfather recovered it. Front face is in excellent condition, rear still has hooks but are rusted and thin. The plate itself bent somewhat, but still a great specimen. My wife's grandfather wrote on the back in pencil " EZRA CH ". *This piece is from is from my mother-in-law's estate, who was an avid collector of vintage and antique items.* *RETURNS ACCEPTED IF ITEM IS NOT AS DESCRIBED! NOT FOR BUYER'S REMORSE!* All vintage items are sold as "used" unless specifically stated as "mint". Items are sold "as is" and "with all faults".
