$ImageURL1$ Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap Intake Manifold for Chevy Vortec Small Block 7516 PART NUMBER: 7516 BRAND: Edelbrock DESCRIPTION EDELBROCK Performer RPM AIR-GAP Small Block Chevy Vortec Intake Manifold Edelbrock Part # 7516 RPM Air-Gap intake manifold is based on the powerful Performer RPM Vortec #7116. This single four-barrel intake is designed for 262-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8's with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron or Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads. The air-gap design features an open air space that separates the runners from the hot engine oil resulting in a cooler, denser charge for more power. An external water bypass boss is machined into the front of the water crossover for use on 1996 and later Vortec production engines. Includes rear water outlets, nitrous bosses, a temp sensor boss that clears all waternecks, two distributor clamp locations and a heater outlet boss that's angled for proper fit over the valve cover. Accepts 1976 and later alternator and air-conditioning brackets for street installations. For square-bore carbs. No provision for exhaust-heated chokes and no exhaust crossover. Will not fit under stock Corvette hood. INSTALLATION NOTES: • Manifold ht: A-4.20, B-5.25 (.70 taller than # 2101) • Carb pad height: 4.27 • Carb recommendations: Edelbrock AVS2 or Performer Series 650-800 cfm. Use bracket # 8032 for 1972-78. • Port exit dimensions: 2.05 tall with slanted side walls • Recommended intake gasket: Edelbrock #7235 or GM #89017465 • Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals, such as Edelbrock High Temp Silicone sealant # 1076, DO NOT USE END SEALS GASKETS. • Use # 8516 Edelbrock bolt kit • Sealant must be used on intake bolt threads if the threads extend into lifter valley or coolant passage. • NPT/Pipe thread fittings require the use of Teflon tape or paste on threads to ensure proper seal. • DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN NPT/Pipe fittings, this may cause the aluminum to crack around the fitting boss. NPT/Pipe thread is a tapered thread. • Hardened washers Must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum. • Will not fit under stock Corvette hood. • Stock brackets will require modification to fit the upright manifold bolt holes. • Use Edelbrock Vortec throttle bracket #8032. • Edelbrock does not recommend the use of an economy type carburetor such as the Performer series 1406 or 1411 on Performer RPM Intake Manifolds. • Economy type carburetors are calibrated lean for fuel economy and will not perform properly on this style of intake. • Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. • Improper installation will void your warranty and may result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage. I ordered a trailer hitch for a 2025 Murano Platinum. I checked multiple sites to ensure this was the correct one, but shortly after the order, I read details on the manufactures website that this was the wrong hitch for this 2025 model and trim and another one should be used. I tried to contact the vendor, but it already shipped. Once received I started the return process and it was shipped back for a full refund at no cost. I'm very happy with this seller and will use them in the future.
The seller portion of the transaction was EXCELLENT, but for whatever reason this package left Austell, GA and ended up in Kennesaw, GA for a couple of days before making it's way to west Tennessee (BTW it is still not in my possession as I write this mid day, four days after shipping) I could have driven to Atlanta and picked this up faster than FedEx Ground has gotten it to the final 8 miles from their hub to my door. Again, NOT the fault of the seller.
These are not packaged for shipping by the manufacturer. The box is very light weight material and does not hold up to the abuse during shipping. Had to order it twice and both times received it severally damaged. The seller did stand behind the sale though, and promptly sent return labels and issued the refund quickly. I would not order this product again, but would definitely buy from the seller again.
