The trunk has bark brownish grey, longitudinally fissured and detaching as slightly thick, often rectangular plates. This specie has been found in six sites that are assumed to be five distinct locations. Although the species occurs within protected areas, a continuing decline of the population of this specie can be inferred in the area, extent and/or quality of habitat, since its occurrence points are threatened mainly by urban expansion and fire incidence.
